Good morning.
It's Sunday, November eighth.
Sunday mornings have their own kind of quiet.
Fewer cars.
Nobody's in a rush.
For some people, this is a holy For day.
others it's just slow.
Either way...
let this quiet feel special.
In whatever way fits you.
You don't need the right words for it.
Or any words at all.
You don't need to be in a church.
Your living room works fine.
Sit comfortably.
Let your hands rest open in your lap.
Palms facing up.
We have six minutes.
use them to feel...
a little less alone.
Breathe in slowly.
Let your chest rise and widen.
And breathe out.
Let your heart soften.
In again...
feel your ribs spread out to the sides.
Out...
let your shoulders fall open.
Most days we walk around a bit folded.
Hunched over phones.
Arms crossed against the cold.
For now, let yourself open up.
In...
wide and slow.
And out...
soft and easy.
Let the breath go on by itself now.
Listen to the wind in the trees.
Start with what's below you.
Feel the chair or the floor.
Under that, the building.
Under that, the ground.
Picture the earth going down and down.
Rock and soil.
Old roots.
Water moving in the dark.
It holds you up.
It's been holding you up your whole life.
Now think about what's above you.
Past the roof.
Up into open sky.
Clouds moving slowly.
And past the blue...
stars you can't see right now.
They're still up there.
Even in daylight.
You're sitting right between the two.
Earth below.
Sky above.
Now think about all the others.
Breathing right now.
At the same time as you.
A baby asleep in a crib somewhere.
An old man on his porch...
with his first cup of coffee.
A deer, standing still.
Right at the edge of the woods.
Its breath making little clouds.
The trees outside.
They breathe, in their own slow way.
Every one of them...
taking in this same You air.
breathe out.
A tree breathes It's in.
been trading with you all your life.
You're part of all this.
You always have been.
Some people call it God.
Some don't give it a You name.
can call it whatever you It's like.
big.
And you belong in it.
Let these words rest I in you.
am part of something bigger.
I am not alone in this.
Just rest in that now.
Held from below.
Open to the Listen sky.
to the wind high in the trees.
It moves through every branch.
Like a long, slow breath.
You don't have to understand it.
Just let yourself feel included.
Like being waved over...
to a table where there's room for you.
You belong here.
Right where you are.
Let the room come back now.
Slowly.
Close your hands softly.
Roll your shoulders once.
Take one full breath in...
And let it go.
Here's something for today.
outside for a moment.
The back step is fine.
Anywhere you can see the sky.
Look a up for few breaths.
Notice the color of it.
And remember...
you're part of that too.
Even on a gray day.
Even for thirty seconds with the dog.
Open your eyes when you're ready.
Go gently into your Sunday.
