Good morning.
It's Monday, October twenty-sixth.
Before anything else...
how heavy has it been lately?
Maybe there's something you're carrying.
Work that won't let up.
Or a worry at home.
Maybe it's nothing big.
Just a long stretch of tired.
The kind a weekend didn't fix.
You don't have to fix it right now.
Just notice where it sits.
In your shoulders.
In your stomach.
Behind your eyes.
That's okay.
Let it be We there.
have six minutes.
Let's find some solid ground.
Put your feet flat on the Feel floor.
the whole bottom of each foot.
Now picture roots.
Growing out from your soles.
Down through the floor.
Breathe in slowly...
and feel yourself sitting tall.
Breathe out...
and send the roots deeper.
Into cool, dark soil.
In again...
tall and steady.
And out...
roots spreading wide.
Wrapping around rocks.
One more.
In...
And out...
anchored.
Listen to the wind up high.
The treetops are swaying.
Down here, the roots hold.
Now think back.
To a time that was really hard.
A move to a brand new city.
Where you didn't know a soul.
A winter when money was tight.
Checking your balance before every coffee.
A loss.
Or a year you'd rather not repeat.
Pick one.
Only one you feel okay visiting.
Remember how it felt back then.
Like it would never end.
Remember lying awake.
Wondering how you'd get through the week.
But it did end.
Or it got lighter.
And you're here.
Now here's the question.
How did you get through it?
Not the big picture.
The small stuff.
Maybe someone dropped off food.
Maybe you went on long walks.
Maybe you just got up every morning.
Even the bad ones.
Maybe you cried in Then the car.
drove to work anyway.
That counts.
All of it counts.
That's what resilience looks like.
Pretty ordinary, most days.
It's getting knocked down...
and finding the next small thing to do.
And notice this.
You probably didn't do it alone.
Somebody helped.
Even a little.
Leaning on them was part of your strength.
Say these to yourself.
Slowly.
I've gotten through hard things before.
I can bend without breaking.
Just sit here like a tall tree.
Roots deep.
The wind is moving through the branches.
They bend.
Then they come back.
That's what they're built So for.
are you.
A tree that never bent...
wouldn't last one good storm.
The give is part of the strength.
If the heavy thing comes back to mind...
let it.
Feel your roots.
Still
there.
Still holding.
Let the trees go quiet.
Feel your feet on the floor again.
Press them
down.
Sit up a little taller.
One steady breath in...
And out.
Here's your step forward for today.
Think of who helped you last time.
The one who dropped off food.
Or picked up at midnight.
Send them a short thank-you today.
Two lines is plenty.
Tell them what it meant.
Even if it was years ago.
It reminds you of something too.
You've come back before.
You had help, and you'll have it again.
Open your eyes when you're ready.
Your roots go deeper than you think.
