Good morning.
It's Friday, November sixth.
Friday.
Even the word feels a little lighter.
The week is almost behind you.
The weekend is close enough to see.
Maybe you're tired.
That's It's fair.
been five days.
Let's fill you back up a before bit...
you head out the door.
Get comfortable.
Let your face soften.
Maybe even let a small smile It in.
doesn't have to be real yet.
Sometimes the face goes first.
The mood catches up.
We have six minutes.
Let's make them bright ones.
As you breathe in...
imagine breathing in light.
Clear morning light.
As you breathe out...
let go of some tiredness.
Whatever's easy to let go.
In again...
the light fills your chest.
Out...
the heavy week drains away.
In...
a sense that good things can happen.
Out...
yawn, if one comes.
One more.
In...
all the way up.
And out...
nice and slow.
Notice you feel a little more awake.
Even if it's only a little.
Now bring your attention inward.
To the middle of your chest.
Imagine a soft warm glow there.
Like a lamp on a dimmer switch.
Turned down low.
Golden.
The color of apple cider...
in a clear glass by the sink.
Each time you breathe in...
turn the dimmer up a notch.
The glow gets brighter.
Warmer.
It fills your ribs now.
Like a room when the lamp comes up.
Corners you forgot were there.
Your hands might even feel warm.
Let it move down now.
Into your belly.
Your hips.
All the way to your feet.
Like standing in a patch of sun...
the kitchen floor in November.
Turn it up again.
Now the glow is too big for you.
It spills out past your skin.
It fills the room.
Soft and golden.
Picture walking through your day like that.
Into the coffee shop.
The barista looks up.
Something in their face eases.
They don't know why.
Into the office.
Or the classroom.
Or the car line at school.
The glow reaches everyone you pass.
You don't have to do anything.
Good moods spread.
You've seen it happen.
One person laughs...
and the whole room loosens up.
Today that person can be you.
Say these quietly to yourself.
Good things can find me today.
I have warmth to share.
Just rest in the glow now.
Let it hum along on its own.
Listen to the birds out there.
They sound pretty happy about Friday too.
If a gray thought drifts in...
that's fine.
The glow doesn't need to chase it off.
It just keeps shining.
Like a porch light on a cloudy day.
Still on.
Still easy to find.
Warm and easy.
Right in the center of you.
Let the room come back.
Keep the glow turned up.
Stretch your arms up high.
Maybe let out a big, happy sigh.
Take one bright breath in...
And out.
Here's your one thing for today.
Give one real compliment.
Out loud.
Tell someone you like their sweater.
Or the way they handled that call.
Just one.
And mean it.
Then watch their face change.
That's the glow, moving across the room.
And notice how it comes back to you.
It usually does.
Open your eyes when you're ready.
Enjoy your Friday.
