Good morning.
It's Thursday, October fifteenth.
Let's start with your hands.
Rest them on your lap.
Palms facing up.
Let the fingers uncurl.
No gripping.
Nothing to hold on to.
We spend a lot of the day clutching.
Phones.
Steering wheels.
For six minutes...
let your hands stay open.
Ready to receive.
Notice how that feels.
Maybe a little exposed.
Maybe a little lighter.
Now take a big breath.
Bigger than usual.
Breathe in like there's plenty of air.
Because there is.
And let it all go.
You don't have to save any.
In again...
filling your belly, then your chest.
And out...
slow and generous.
One more.
The whole sky's worth of air...
and this breath is yours.
And out.
Nobody rations this.
It just keeps coming.
Every few seconds, all day long.
A lot of mornings start with what's missing.
Not enough sleep.
Not enough money in checking.
That voice is loud.
And it's not always wrong.
But it only counts one column.
Let's look at other the one.
You can still worry about the bills.
And notice this too.
Both can be true at once.
Picture an apple tree in October.
Branches bending low.
More apples than anyone pick.
could Some lying in the grass.
Nobody's worried about running out.
A bushel basket sits by trunk.
the Already spilling over.
Now think of something...
you have more than enough of.
This morning, for one.
It's here.
You didn't have to earn it.
What else?
Maybe people who care about you.
The coworker who saves you a donut.
The neighbor who waves every time.
Someone who'd pick up...
if you called right now.
Let their faces float by.
There might be more than you expected.
And something you know how to do.
Something you're good at.
Fixing things.
Or making people laugh.
Or just listening well.
You carry that everywhere.
It doesn't run out when you use In it.
fact, it grows.
Look at your open hands.
They're not empty.
They're full of all this.
Say this softly to yourself.
I already have so much.
There is enough for me.
And enough to share.
Just sit with that full feeling.
Let it spread.
Across your ribs first.
Then down to your open palms.
Like sun on the apple tree.
Warming everything, all at once.
An apple drops into the grass.
Nobody panics.
There are plenty more up there.
If the worried voice pipes up...
that's okay.
Let it talk.
Then come back to your hands.
Still open.
Still full.
Let the birds get louder.
Feel the chair holding you up.
Close your hands gently.
Then open them wide one more time.
A big breath in...
And out.
Here's one more to keep.
Say it slowly.
Good things flow to me.
Say it like you'd say your own name.
Plain.
Like it's just true.
And here's the other half.
Let something good flow out.
Give one thing away today.
Keep it simple.
A real compliment counts.
Tell the cashier you like her earrings.
Tell a friend what they did right.
Giving from a full hand feels different.
You'll notice.
Open your eyes when you're ready.
Go share a little of it.
