Inner Child Guided Meditation

Hello.

Get comfortable, and close your eyes if that feels okay.

This one can be tender.

Go at your own pace.

If anything feels like too much, you can open your eyes and just listen.

Feel where your body touches the seat or the floor.

Breathe in slowly...

And breathe out, letting yourself be held by what's under you.

In again...

And out.

Picture a wooden porch step at dusk.

The air is warm, and the sky's going orange.

You're sitting there...

and after a moment,

a small child comes and sits beside you.

It's you.

Younger.

Maybe six, maybe nine.

Whatever age comes up is the right one.

Notice what they're wearing.

How they're sitting.

Do they look happy?

Or a little worried?

You don't need to fix anything.

Just let them be next to you.

Maybe they swing their feet.

Maybe they're quiet.

Both are fine.

Now say to them the things you needed to hear back You then.

can repeat after me, quietly.

You didn't do anything wrong.

It's okay to cry.

You don't have to be good to be loved.

Your feelings make sense.

You're allowed to take up space.

I see you.

I'm glad you're here.

Watch how they take that in.

Maybe they lean on you a little.

Maybe they just look up.

If some part of you feels it too...

in your throat, or your chest...

let it be there.

Now make them a small promise.

Something you can actually keep.

Maybe...

"I'll listen when you're scared."

Or "I won't rush you."

Say it in your own words.

It doesn't have to be big.

Give them a hug, if they want one.

Or just sit close as the light fades.

They're not going anywhere.

They're part of you.

And now they know someone's looking out for them.

Let the porch fade out.

Feel your adult body here, again,

in this Take room.

a slow breath in...

And let it go.

Put a hand on your chest for a That's second.

where they live.

Open your eyes when you're Be ready.

gentle with yourself today.
