To begin this morning of self-love, sit before you become useful.
Hand on the heart. Whatever that looks like for you.
When the body feels ready, you may softly close your eyes.
With your eyes closed, say inward: good morning. I am here.
I am not behind.
Notice any hardness toward yourself from yesterday.
What else could loosen one degree?
Self-love this morning is practical: a kind pace, a kind inner voice.
A kind breath.
You do not have to deserve care to receive it from yourself.
Breathe into the heart as if watering something that belongs to you.
And let yourself be on your own side.
Continue now, before the world arrives with its opinions.
This is your first companion today: your own warmth.
What do you notice under the hand?
Just stay. Accept. Allow. No usefulness yet.
Keeping your eyes closed, include the warmth of the palm.
Be on your own side before the feed arrives.
There is nothing to earn. Nothing to become first.
If the inner critic starts early, that is okay. Return to the hand.
Stay with the heart, the palm, this belonging.
You let yourself be loved. Including by you.
Now let attention travel back. Keep the hand's warmth.
Open your eyes. Begin the day already accompanied.
