5 Minute Guided Meditation for Self Love
Five minutes of treating yourself as someone you are responsible for. Slower inner speech. A palm at the sternum if that helps. No requirement to like every chapter of your story.
Before you begin
You can disagree with your life and still lower the volume of the inner attack.

To begin this meditation for self-love, sit in a way that feels kind to your body.
If it feels right, rest one hand on the center of your chest.
When your body feels ready, you may softly close your eyes.
Feel the warmth of your own palm. That warmth is already a form of care.
Notice the voice you usually use with yourself. What is its tone, right now?
You do not have to keep speaking to yourself that way.
Let a kinder sentence arrive. Something you would actually offer a friend.
Say it inwardly, and notice what happens under the hand.
Self-love is not a prize you earn. It is how you stay with yourself when you are ordinary.
You are allowed to be incomplete, and still worthy of warmth.
If a harsh thought appears, do not argue with it. Place the hand a little more honestly on the heart.
And let the kinder voice answer, even if it is quiet.
Continue now with the breath moving under your palm.
Feel the rise. Feel the fall. Let the hand ride each one.
What would it be like to speak to yourself as someone you refuse to abandon?
Breathe that question into the chest. You do not need a clever answer.
Worth is not a task. The next breath does not have to be deserved.
If the mind wanders into old criticism, notice it, and return to the warmth under your hand.
Kindness can be small. A slower inner sentence. A softer jaw.
Let the body receive that softness without proving anything.
You belong to your own life. Including the parts you usually hide.
Let that belonging include you.
Now let your attention travel back. Feel the hand, the seat, the room — still on your own side.
Take this kinder inner voice with you, as you slowly open your eyes.
