A 5 Minute Morning Gratitude Meditation
Wake, sit, and name what survived the night: breathing, light, a body. This five-minute morning thanks practice is small on purpose so it can be true.

To begin this morning of thanks, sit before the news.
Whatever that looks like for you.
When the body feels ready, you may softly close your eyes.
With your eyes closed, thank the simple fact of waking.
Name one thing still here: breath. Light. A body that carried you.
Let gratitude be physical — a warmth, a loosening in the chest.
What else is already enough, this morning?
Add a second thanks, even smaller.
The ordinary is the miracle you forgot to count.
Begin the day already rich. Not because everything is perfect.
Because something is.
And let the thanks land.
Continue now, breathing as if saying thank you without language.
Keep one thanks in the pocket of the mind.
What do you notice in the chest as thanks arrives?
Just receive. Accept. Allow. No performance.
Keeping your eyes closed, include the light around you.
Walk into this morning already accompanied by enough.
There is nothing to earn. Nothing to deserve first.
If the mind lists what is missing, return to one thanks.
Stay with breath, light, and this quiet yes.
You let enough be true. Including yourself.
Now let attention travel back. Keep one thanks as you return.
Open your eyes to the morning. Good morning.
