5 Minute Meditation for Confidence
A 5 minute guided meditation for confidence that does not ask you to fake a speech. You will feel the body as a place you can inhabit, drop the inner audition, and meet the next moment from steadiness instead of from apology.
Before you begin

To begin this meditation for confidence, sit so the spine can be quietly tall.
Not stiff. Supported. As if a thread were lifting the crown.
When you are ready, you may softly close your eyes.
Confidence, here, is not volume. It is self-trust you can feel in the bones.
Feel the spine, vertebra by vertebra, stacking without strain.
Where do you usually look for confidence — in other people's faces, in a louder voice?
Bring it home. Into the seat. Into the length of the back. Into the next breath.
You do not have to convince anyone in these minutes. You only have to inhabit yourself.
Notice the places that collapse when you doubt — the chest, the throat, the gaze.
Let them refill from the spine, as if dignity were a physical fact, not a performance.
What would quiet self-trust say, if it did not have to impress you?
And let that quieter sentence be enough.
Continue with the breath traveling up and down the spine.
Inhale: I am here. Exhale: I do not have to be louder to be true.
If a small, solid knowing is in you, feel for it. It may be quieter than fear.
Fear can still speak. Confidence is staying with yourself while it speaks.
If the mind rehearses a future room, return to this spine, this seat, this breath.
You have met hard moments before. The body remembers more than the critic does.
Soften the face. Keep the spine. That combination is a kind of courage.
You can walk out without inflating. Quiet is allowed to be strong.
Rest in that inner vertical. No audience required.
Take the spine with you. Leave the performance behind.
Now let your attention travel back. Feel the tallness, the seat, the room.
Open your eyes, and take this quiet self-trust with you.
