5 Minute Gratitude Meditation Before Sleep
File the day with thanks instead of a courtroom. Five minutes: one gift, one helper, one imperfect way you showed up. Then the lights of review can go off.

To begin this evening gratitude for sleep, sit or lie down, fully supported.
Whatever that looks like tonight — we end with thanks, not with a replay.
When your body feels ready, you may softly close your eyes.
With your eyes closed, take a moment to turn toward what was given.
First, one thing from this day that did not have to exist, and did. Thank it.
One person, living or gone, who made the day survivable. Thank them inward.
What else — one way you showed up, even poorly. Thank yourself without a speech.
What is it like to close the file of the day with thanks instead of review?
Gratitude can be small and still be true.
Let the chest be warm and the mind be dim.
You can sleep as someone who received a day, not only survived one.
Three thanks are enough. You do not need a list.
What do you notice when the day is thanked, and then left?
Just observe. Accept. And allow. No polishing the story.
Keeping your eyes closed, allow your awareness to include the dark of the room.
As if night is a quiet thank-you after the last word. Ordinary. Already here.
There is nothing left to recount. There is nowhere else to be.
If your mind wanders into replay, that is okay. Return to one of the three.
Being connected to the bed, the breath, and this small honest warmth.
You let the day be received. Including yourself.
Lie down in that warmth if you are not already. Stay. No morning yet.
Keep the eyes closed. Good night.
